Dare

The 1st module of  Dare Dance Digitalize-The 3D project includes the following areas of psychology:

• Non-Violent Communication by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg

• Gestalt Theories of Phenomenology

• Archetypes by Carl Jung

• Dreambody and the theory of "deep democracy" of Process Oriented Psychology (Portland-Oregon, USA)

Non-Violent Communication is a communication process developed by Marshall Rosenberg in the 1960s. Non-Violent Communication focuses on:

• Empathy for ourselves

• Empathy for others

• Honest and authentic expression, in a way that inspires others to listen to us with humanity.

Non-Violent Communication believes that all human behaviors come from people trying to meet their needs. These needs are common to all people and never conflict with each other. Conflicts arise from incompatibilities between the various strategies that people choose to meet these needs. Nonviolent Communication argues that if people identify their needs, the needs of others, and the feelings associated with those needs, then harmony can occur. Nonviolent Communication is taught as a communication process designed to contribute to the empathetic contact between people, but at the same time it is considered to be a set of values, educational technique & method and worldview.

The necessity of the inclusion of Non-Violent Communication and the other mentioned theories and experiential methods of psychology in artistic education and the performing arts is maximized by the intense contemporary challenges. As Jacques Lecoque used to say: " Become real artists on stage and real artists in life, at the same time"

Dance

The 2nd module of the Dare Dance Digitalize methodology is about physical theatre/dancetheatre. More specifically, it includes Jacques Lecoque's physical theater technique - neutral mask, modern Japanese butoh dance techniques and improvisation techniques. As Werner Muller writes, "in physical theater the expressive medium is the body, the first language of every human being, the language of children."

The performer must reawaken this body language, free it from the tyranny of speech, integrate it into his art, in other words, give it life and bring it back into operation. But in order to succeed, he must constantly exercise the linguistic and expressive power of his body, process real types around him, and strive to remain human.

Japanese contemporary Butoh dance helps the performer/dancer get in touch with their body and expressive means on an energetic level. It explores particular inner landscapes of movement and expression of the body and psyche. Furthermore, it helps the performer practice dancing between the delicate balance of tradition and avant garde. Finally, improvisation helps the performer/dancer to enrich their movement vocabulary, get in touch with the organicity of their body and realize and to change-transform automated techniques in his movement, getting closer to his authentic movement.

Digitalize

The 3rd module of the Dare Dance Digitalize methodology includes the presentation of simple film techniques (shooting techniques, framing, script, visualized script). The participants are trained to understand the above techniques. The path from the kinetic narrative to the visualized scenario leads the participants – users οντ@ to the final creation of the videodance, with the assistance of the lecturer and the cinematographer.
